This block brought the unfortunate conclusion to the Missing persons investigation that I began at the end of September. After a few routine calls we received a call that a boat had located what they believed to be a body in the Fraser river. The Canadian Coast Guard assisted and sent their Hovercraft. We boarded the Hovercraft and set out to recover the body.
Seized inappropriate/illegal items to be carrying in public.
Callout Shift
I worked a callout shift again with another platoon the day before our block started. The first call of note for the day came in as a missing child. As I got on scene we learned that the missing person was a non-verbal autistic child (he didn’t speak) and had gone missing near large fields, ditches and some brush with a few buildings. Day shift #1
To cover for some of the platoon on leave I was back in my old zone for the day. On the way there I took a report that a truck was stolen from outside a residence. After some follow up for that I was dispatched to a single vehicle collision. I arrived on scene to find an SUV had lost control, struck 2 parked vehicles and pushed a parked pickup truck up over the curb and into a telephone pole. Continue reading Broken hearts→
The first day shift coming back from a set of holidays always feels like a bit of a catch up day. I got through some emails, read the last 12 days of reports and answered some routine calls.
